KEY/Assignments

ENJOY!

Key

DRAFT= A copy of poem  (there could be more than one if you choose)

HOMEWORK= You have to try a poem. One draft only. If you want to do more with it, it falls under one or more of the categories below.

POEM IN PROGRESS= You are working with this poem. You have started to workshop and/or are planning to workshop/work with it. You know there is more there.

EVIDENCE OF WORKSHOP=Your poetry has comments written by peers/it is clear you are working with the poem.

POLISHED POEM= This poem has been worked with. You have drafts. You have workshopped. You have lost countless hours of sleep over it. It is as perfect as you can make it, though you know your work is never done...

Assignments

Past Due
1. Define all forms of poetry posted last class. Do research if you need to. Ask questions if you do not understand.
2. Try to write two of the poems (one DRAFT) provided.

For Today
1. Try two more of the forms provided (one DRAFT). This means you should have tried 4 out of 8 forms.

COME TO CLASS FRIDAY with 4 DRAFTS and EVIDENCE OF WORKSHOP for two poems.

I hope this post is helpful. If you have any questions, please ask!
